On 17 October 2025, the 3rd BAT Conference brought together more than 70 participants from 37 countries to discuss current developments and practical issues related to the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT).
The event opened with a welcome address by BAT President Prof. Ulrich Haas, followed by presentations from members of the BAT Secretariat and representatives of FIBA and Jus Mundi. Topics included recent BAT activities and procedural developments, FIBA’s role in assisting with the enforcement of BAT awards, and the introduction of POP – a new fast-track procedure for simple debt collection claims.
Further sessions addressed the impact of recent ECJ and ECHR rulings on BAT proceedings and showcased Jus Mundi as a valuable research platform for BAT users. The day concluded with an interactive floor discussion, allowing participants to engage directly with the BAT representatives.
